Description

Are you aging well, or would you like to learn more about optimal aging practices? Join us for a six-week educational series focused on the physical, mental/cognitive, emotional and social aspects of healthy aging.  Guest speakers include: Dr Alexandrea Peel/Geriatrician, speakers from Osteoporosis Canada, Alzheimer’s Society, Huron OPP, Pharmacist, Dietitian, Financial Services, Hearing, Vision and more.

Healthy Aging is a 6-week program supported by Registered Nurses and Registered Dietitians at different times throughout the year, covering a wide range of topics, focused on living healthy and aging well. These topics include vision, hearing, online security, fall prevention, osteoporosis & nutrition.

In the fall of 2024, LWAFHT Healthy Aging Program is joining with the Huron Perth Alzheimer Society to present the Baycrest Memory & Aging Program. A 4-week course focusing on understanding what memory is, how it works, how it changes as we age, factors that impact memory, and strategies to improve our ability to remember.
