Description

The Lung Health Program is a Pharmacist lead program that provides lung function testing to aid in an accurate diagnosis, patient training on how to use inhalers properly and lifestyle issues to aid in lung health, and action plans for what to do in the event of a worsening of lung function. The breathing test conducted at our offices is called spirometry and we are able to test patients 6 years of age and older. It helps the doctor gain insight in how your lungs are working and what if any lung condition you are experiencing. Through patient education, we empower patients to become more equipped to control their breathing conditions through proper medication use, breathing techniques, physical activity and flare up prevention. Finally, Action Plans provide instructions on what to do when breathing gets worse. This helps patients understand when a flare up is starting and gives better access to additional treatments.
